About the Course
This workshop focuses on the often-overlooked distal expression of the fascial arm lines: the hands. Proper hand function is essential for exploring and interacting with the world, and effective hand treatment can create significant fascial unwinding throughout the entire upper extremity. The Deep Front Arm Line terminates in the thenar muscles and the lateral side of the thumb (Pollex), while the Deep Back Arm Line mirrors this, ending at the hypothenar muscles and the lateral side of the little finger (Digiti Minimi). The Carpal Tunnel and palmar surface of the hand mark the end of the Superficial Front Arm Line, which mirrors the Superficial Back Arm Line terminating on the dorsum of the hand. Successful hand release can impact the elbow, shoulder, neck, and trunk due to these interconnected fascial relationships. Treatment of the flexor and extensor compartments of the wrist is critical for effective hand therapy. This class aims to address the many individual muscles of the hand, as well as the retinacula, tendons, and tendon sheaths extending through the wrist to the distal interphalangeal joints. Additionally, therapists will review and perform joint mobilizations of the carpals, distal radiocarpal and ulnocarpal joints, distal radioulnar joint, carpometacarpal joints, and interphalangeal joints.

I also want to say thank you for sharing these techniques with me. I feel like this is my nitch. I have gotten more out of your classes, then any other class, including school. You are my mentor!!
I was going to text you to let you know how all of us feel that this trip was a wonderful gift. We learned so much in such a great environment. It was nice for us to be away from the demands of our daily lives and really focus on what we were learning. It was a wonderful retreat, and we are deeply grateful to you for all of your work. When I get home, I will start looking at airbnb and VRBO for the next trip.
I was six months in practice and already feeling bored with my work when I stumbled on Carrie Taylor. Her courses and her way of looking at the body transformed my practice. I am now doing the work I love and am eager to get to my office each day. I use the DVDs as a resource almost weekly, and learn something new each time I review them. Caution: these courses are not for the therapist looking to pick up a few CEUs--Carrie Taylor's Technique will shake up your practice and blow your mind. And your clients will be as grateful as you are that you took classes in the Taylor Technique. Thank you! I don't think I would still be practicing if it weren't for you. This was just what I was looking for.
