About the Course

This advanced myofascial and osseous class focuses on the cervical spine, its anatomical components, and the treatment of disorders most commonly associated with this region. Participants will spend significant time sensitively palpating the delicate structures of the cervical area to improve their ability to accurately identify the source of a patient’s complaint. Emphasis is placed on building patient trust, reducing muscular guarding, and progressing treatment goals safely and effectively. Topics covered include cervical arthritis and radiculopathies, thoracic outlet syndrome, dysphagia, temporomandibular dysfunction, torticollis, “pinched nerve syndrome,” and related conditions. The course provides therapists with a clear understanding of where to focus their assessment and treatment efforts when managing complex cases involving this region. Cultivating comfort with palpation, deep anatomical knowledge, and therapeutic confidence are essential elements in developing true skill as a manual therapist. Practitioners will learn techniques for treating the delicate cervical spine in a way that distinguishes them from others in the field.

About Taylor Fascial

Taylor Fascial was created by Carrie Taylor BSc., RMT, LMT, CPT, CYT, YACEP in 2001 to combine Myofascial release, trigger point therapy, stretching and osseous work into a highly effective treatment strategy. This style of treatment balances the patient’s nervous system and frees them of pain and stress as well as realigning the entire body and its systems.
